In the very moment of relief and joy, she is not satisfied: she wants more.

I have not been the best Christian before not being able to move around well, I do not work, I had to seek a medical disabilty so it is hard to get out to talk to and see people.

Will they come back to life and be with Christ when He reigns on the earth? Thank you for reminding me how romantic God’s Word can be. Rachel is also the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, Jacob’s two youngest sons. I sure am.It is not for us to take revenge. Rachel is also the younger sister of Leah, Jacob’s first wife, and Jacob’s first cousin. Her father is Laban, the brother of Rebekah.Rebekah is Jacob’s mother. Love that about you. Also, thank you for praying for me and the church.

Your a serious student of the Word.

I got my glasses this morning and read some more. You pray for something, wait earnestly, receive the blessing, and then the ugly monster of jealousy says, “It’s not enough!”.God did bless Rachel with conceiving a child but because she wanted more, as jealousy had its way, she became pregnant again. God bless both of you!My name is Rachel and this is the Rachel I was named after and it truly is very inspiring to me to have a name with such meaning.I am in a bar right now. You are simply human and to err is human … to forgive is Divine. After Benjamin was born, Rachel suddenly died. I know and believe that God still has much in store for Isreal, but, it seems most of the things that were hid were done so from the people of Isreal. Rachel: Bible by Tikva Frymer-Kensky The younger daughter of Laban and wife of Jacob, Rachel is the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, who become two of the twelve tribes of Israel (Gen 35:24; 46:15–18). Remember when Jacob, with his mother’s prompting, took his brother’s birthright? But his father named him Benjamin” (Gen 35:16-18).

“Another Look at Rachel’s Theft of the Teraphim.”,Spanier, Ktziah.

Jacob was outraged and when he confronted Rachel’s father Laban, the father told Jacob that it was customary to have the eldest daughter marry first. My desire is to some day, if it leads to such, to be honored to marry you both because there is just something so special about someone as young as you and your friend to seek to put God first and please Him.

Another seven years wouldn’t stop Jacob because “his love for Rachel was greater than his love for Leah…and he worked for Laban another seven years” to secure Rachel for his wife (Gen 29:30). Yes, I believe God would want you to date before marriage but can I ask what age you both are so that I can give you a better answer and perhaps godly advice (I hope).

Her womanhood perhaps disqualifies her from receiving the teraphim legitimately; so she uses her womanhood to prevent Laban from taking them away once she has taken them illegitimately. In the end, Rachel’s stratagem comes to naught. I’m so ashamed of myself right now.

I believe God will bless your relationship because your heart appears to be seeking a close, obedient relationship with God. The following is biblical commentary from Matthew Henry: Genesis 29:9-14 - See Rachel's humility and industry.
7 Rachel’s servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son. It is not about tithing or church attendance but about seeking God’s Word, hiding it in their heart, and praying for those who need the prayers of the saints. Now it was Jacob turn to be tricked. When Jacob and Rachel’s family moved on from Bethel, “Rachel began to give birth and had great difficulty….and as she was having great difficulty in childbirth, the midwife said to her, “Don’t despair, for you have another son.” As she breathed her last—for she was dying—she named her son Ben-Oni. She was the second daughter of Laban, Rebekah's brother, making Jacob her first cousin.
